Organising Trade Missions from India

ITSMA also organize Trade Missions to Foreign industries and research labs for our Members. ITSMA coordinates with the organizing firm in Europe in arranging logistics by critically examining the profiles of the participating organizations from both the nations to arrive at suitable one-on-one meetings.

Organization of a Mission to Spain – July 2001

Based on the various projects and interests from the inward missions to India, ITSMA organized a fact finding mission from India, to study the possibilities of joint cooperation. ITSMA and the delegation from India had meetings and visits to many different organizations, administrations, etc.

In one of our joint studies, we analyzed the status of business partnerships between Indian and European SMEs and realized the need for training on business culture, common management and quality systems.

Indian Delegation to Spain, Dec 2004

ITSMA led a delegation to Spain, to look at possibilities of collaboration. ITSMA and the delegation met with various institutions like Deusto University, Bilbao, UPV Ingenieros, GAIKER, Bilbao, EMAUS, San Sebastián, ESF (Economistas Sin Fronteras), FOMENTO - San Sebastián Municipality, and a few companies.

During this delegation visit, the Vice Rector of the University of Deusto offered ITSMA to promote 3 Erasmus Mundus Masters courses in India, namely the Masters in Humanitarian Action, Masters in Euro-culture and Masters in Life Long Learning. ITSMA has been actively promoting the same since 2005. We have set up a Selection Committee which holds interviews and shortlists potential candidates every year.

Organized a Cluster Visit to Germany

As a result of the workshop organized by ITSMA “Doing Business with Germany” many Indian IT SMEs showed interest to visit Germany to expand their business. As they were SMEs a cluster was formed with like minded companies, MOU was drafted and a cluster visit was arranged. This was the first of its kind where the SMEs could have more business options with large German companies and each Indian SME would leverage their expertise area of work on the specific module within the project and this was based on revenue sharing module. This cluster visit was a great success as the SMEs saw immediate results.

Delegation Mission to Valladolid, Spain, September 2007

ITSMA organized a Business expansion and Networking Delegation Visit for 5 Indian Companies to Valladolid in South of Spain. Each Indian organization had around 4-5 one-on-one meetings with Spanish Companies with similar profiles and business interests.
