Organising Trade Missions to India

ITSMA facilitates incoming trade delegations from various parts of the World. We assist these delegations by fixing meetings with appropriate members who fit their requirements. ITSMA also very critically examines the profiles of the participating organizations from both the nations to arrive at suitable one-on-one meetings. The delegation is accompanied by an executive from ITSMA to facilitate and coordinate the meetings that are pre-fixed.

Organisation of a Commercial Mission from Spain to India – Feb 2000; Sep 2000

Most of the organizations in this delegation were on their ‘First Fact’ finding mission, and thus, ITSMA introduced them to the many facets of India, both on the business and cultural aspects. We had 12 companies totally as part of the 2 missions, who visited Delhi, Bangalore and Mysore. 

While we were proceeding very well on business issues, we, ITSMA and our Spanish partners realized that it was also important to together take up our social responsibilities, learn and share methodologies, on various developmental issues. We then worked together to make the Tel-Nek Centre a reality.

Organization of a Commercial Mission from Spain to India – February 2001

ITSMA organized Commercial Mission for 3 organizations from Spain to India, to explore various possibilities for joint collaboration.

Organization of the 1st Indo-European ICT SME Forum – Mar 2004 with major Spanish participation.

On the occasion of the 1st Indo-European IT SME Forum, ITSMA invited a Spanish delegation to be part of the event. This seminar played a key role in giving direction to Indo-European partnerships between SMEs in the ICT sector. Various topics on joint partnerships were discussed, with emphasis on joint projects, IPRs, etc.

Business visit from Copenhagen Business School Year

ITSMA organized a business visit from Copenhagen Business School to India to have synergies of working with Indian IT SMEs.

Delegation from Spain - October 2005

A delegation led by Mr. Jon Clos, then mayor of Barcelona visited India during the BangaloreIT.in event. ITSMA assisted them in setting up meetings for them. ITSMA and the Delegation met with a number of Spanish companies and agencies who wanted to contact us for various collaborations.

Growth in Europe via the Region of Madrid”: Opportunities in the ICT and Biotechnology industries.

The Madrid delegation was led by Mr. Fernando Merry Del Val, Minister of Economy and Innovation Technology for the Region of Madrid, accompanied by various agencies and 9 companies in the ICT and Biotechnology sector. ITSMA fixed more than 65 meetings for these accompanying companies.

ITSMA organized a Networking event for the Biotechnology industries from both regions. ITSMA also organized a high level meeting between the Chief Minister of Karnataka and Mr. Carod Rovira.

PromoMadrid visit to Bangalore

The investment department and the CIEM department from Promo Madrid, the department from the Government of Madrid visited Bangalore. This was an initiative taken by the Government of Madrid to promote business between Madrid and Bangalore/Indian IT BT companies especially among SMEs.

ITSMA along with ESC’s support coordinated for hosting a networking session for the Investment Department of Promo Madrid on 21st Nov and also arranged 1-2-1 meeting with IT and BT companies. More than 100 companies attended the networking session and it was a very successful event. The SMEs could get an insight about another Spanish region and the benefits which could be offered by that region for the Indian IT SMEs.

CEIM department from Promo Madrid had led 9 member delegations who were in India with various missions and visions. ITSMA coordinated for arranging 8 – 9 Indian companies for each of the Spanish company for 1-2-1 meetings. The companies from the Indian IT sector were benefited as they could meet various kinds of companies at the same time. This also gave few Indian companies opportunities for business collaborations.

 EC Delegation visit from Delhi and Brussels to Bangalore - 20 to 22  November 2006

Dr. Hervé Peró, Head – Research Infrastructures Division, DG Research, European Commission along with Dr. Andrew Sors, Minister-Counsellor Head, Science and Technological Development visited Bangalore on 20 - 22  November 2006 to create awareness about EC FP7 programmes. ITSMA coordinated their visit to R&D organizations and Institutions like C-DAC, IISc, Biocon. They briefed about the R&D funding opportunities available for the Indian companies to explore by the way of submitting large scale projects which would benefit large range of beneficiaries.
